365: January 2011

INSPIRATION

January 2, 2011. - I was flipping through an old scrapbook magazine when an article titled Project 365 caught my eye. It's about documenting your year by taking a photo everyday. I'm quite familiar with this project because I've seen some Facebook friends'  365 albums before but I said to myself, "Hey...that's a great idea.. but I can't squeeze time for it everyday." As I read through the article, I realized that I haven't been maximizing the use of my dslr camera... maybe this project could inspire me to practice my skills again. (and what perfect timing- the year just started!) I already have a Day 1 photo (a personalized bookmark from Cafe Mary Grace) which I shot the day before I decided to take on this project.  I'm on Day 34 now and I must say that it's very fun and challenging to think of new concepts everyday.. I also enjoy documenting every little detail of my life, haha. Some photos may seem too mundane to others though.. :)

CREATE

• I designed this layout in Photoshop. It seems like a tedious task, but I actually enjoyed making it... it's my way of relaxation. :)
• Fonts: Helvetica Neue Light, Quicksand, Gothic 725Blk BT, Futura Light
• Color: I chose green for January because it signifies positive change and good health --> the goals that I focused on this month (and hopefully won't forget, haha). I'm glad that I started the year right, I hope it goes on this way! :)
