Favorite Things 01: Crafters' Must-haves

1. 1" circle puncher, EK Success
My scrapbooker friend Tracy recommended this to me and I agree with her, it really is the best brand! Wish I'd known this earlier :) I want to sell my Fiskars 1.5" and 2" punchers and replace them with EK, hehe. I use my circle puncher when I make my own embellishments and cut printables

2. A5 binder / notebook, Muji
Every crafter needs a notebook for jotting down ideas for personal projects: scrapbook layouts to create, albums to make, quotes to write, etc. I use binders so I can rearrange the fillers and group them by topic. Will write a separate blog post for this!

3. White pen, Uniball Signo
Best for writing on kraft and black paper. I use this when I want to add a personal touch to my Project Life cards and embellishments. Check out my sister imfeelingcraftytoday's review on this product and her awesome works!

4. Labels, Kaitlin Sheaffer
You can download her files for free at www.kaitlinsheaffer.com - Downloads Tab. Comes in 11 colors!! She recently released 2 new sets - Navy and Purple but they're not yet included on the Downloads page. The links can be accessed on the blog/home page.

5. Alphabet Stamps, Pebbles Inc.
The best thing about stamps is that you can use them over and over again! Cheaper alternative for Thickers / alpha stickers.

6. Small 4" inch scissors, All About Scrapbooking
I don't have a Silhouette Cameo (not planning to buy one because I have no space and budget for it) so this is what I use for cutting alphabets & embellishments with intricate designs.

7. Glue tape, Kokuyo
Love using glue tape cos it's mess-free!

8. Trimmer, Making Memories
One thing I like about this trimmer is that the blade is self-sharpening, you don't have to buy new blades! This is a bit expensive (P2000+). I consider this tool a good investment because I use it almost everyday -- for cutting photos and trimming 4x6" and 3x4" cards out of 12x12" or 6x6" papers. It may not cut perfect straight lines when I follow the grid, but it's alright as long as I'm using it for my personal projects. I don't recommend it if you'll use it on items that you'll sell though.

9. Alphabet stickers, Simple Stories
I mentioned before that I rarely use alpha stickers (don't know what to do with the left-over letters). I trace chipboard letters and cut them manually to save money -- but it doesn't save time. :) So now, when I see a sticker set that's inexpensive (and w/ a nice, classic font), I'd buy it cos stocks will run out fast! :)  This Simple Stories DIY sticker set was a great steal (8 sheets for only P200+!)
