Project Life: A Week In The Life / Project 52 Core Kit

I mentioned on my previous post that I document my everyday photos by month & not by week. When Becky Higgins announced the release of the Project 52 core kit  on her blog and showed some layout samples on Instagram, I couldn't wait to try out the weekly format on one of my spreads...

This core kit is ideal for Project Lifers who document their memories by week, it comes with a set of title cards with week numbers printed on them. If you're not a "weekly Project Lifer", you can still use these cards in other ways, for example: a summer layout (love these bright colors!), or you can paste the cards on your planner/filofax. I'm getting the physical Specialty card set  (cards with gold foil, die-cut designs) which I will use for my themed spreads. (Friends, it's on sale right now @ $2.79!!)

Since international shipping wasn't available yet during the time that I made this layout, I downloaded the digital version and printed the cards. You can find this on the Project Life app, too! Becky Higgins is using this kit for her 2015 album via the app. She recently posted photos of her album on her blog, as well as layouts created by the Creative Team. She shared some tips on how to get started & how to follow through with your album.  Check it out and be inspired! :)

Here's my Week 05 spread. I am so in love with the color combination and patterns! Since I used a lot of colors on this layout, I converted some of my photos to black and white to make it look less busy.

Everyday photo idea: Take a photo of your messy workspace. I was tempted to clear up the mess before taking this photo - but that wouldn't capture "Real Life". People might think that I have an organized desk when I'm working - I've tried being a minimalist but I really can't concentrate when I don't have my 'stuff' within reach! The card "This is what REAL LIFE looks like" perfectly describes this photo.

This was the week when Becky first blogged about the 2015 Creative Team members' projects. All of us are still on cloud nine. :D  To my readers (if I have any..haha!), I wish you could experience this too, there's an ongoing Creative Team call for Project Life x Stampin Up! Thing that I currently love: Project Life! Project Life is on my mind almost 24/7, I often plan and think of ideas for my layout submissions and blog posts. Most of my Instagram posts now are all about Project Life, I wish I could inspire more people to try this hobby! So far, I've only "recruited" 4 ladies.. Maybe I should consider posting on my Facebook account.
